done for Mrs. Stehr, 7th grade Honors English at Valley View Middle School
Mud flows over land stopping time
With-holding the ways of living
Preserving the way things carried on
What the mud took away, its now giving
Objects once hidden underneath
Forced out of their place
Giving knowledge of former life
Uncovered at a rather fast pace
Secrets now revealed
New perspectives seen
Past life rediscovered
Giving the thoughts of Ozette new meanings

Lost in the rythem of time
Losing realistic grip
Scattered horrors enclose my mind
Making me consider choice of lip
Why now?
So sudden and cold
Is this a life long curse?
Terrified and lonely as I grow old

~Get Away~
This one is one of ma favorites..goin thru some hard shit n gave maself a scenario (2002)
Piercing screams fill the house
Knees shakin at every turn
Dark, red, blood stains her blouse
Watching her prized posessions burn
Scratch marks on the door
Proof of her attempted get away
Motionless on the floor
Flames surrounding where she lay
No one can hear her cries
She moves so slight
Slowly she dies
And on goes the night
This one explains a death of someone I knew:
I look back so lost and confused
Staring at the media, so amused
So many questions, answers I seek
I'd give anything just to hear him speak
I ask myself how I let him leave
Choking, crying, trying to breath
Staring at the ashes filled w/ hate
Another roll of the the dice, another turn of fate

Open the wound ant take the pain
Health and relief is what I gain
You observe me from all sides
And realize I have nothing to hide
I cover my face to blind the shame
Hoping it washes away with the rain
You clutch the familiar and fear the not
It all eats at you until you begin to rot
Life becomes complicated and you run away
I watch, longing for you to stay
Crushed, I turn away knowing that yo
